I was born and raised in the Czech Republic and at the age of 8 I was given my first film camera and it was then that my love for composition and design began. An already inquisitive child about the mechanics of how things work combined with my growing love of composition and design made engineering a good field of study for me. I attended Brno University of Technology, ranked one of the best global universities, where in 2010 I earned my degree in mechanical engineering.

Having a love for composition and visual art (graphic art) and a desire to incorporate that love into my everyday life led to my decision to switch from mechanical engineering to web design and development. Being a web designer and developer fulfills both my creative and technical sides resulting in the beautifully unique web sites I create for my clients.

Deciding that I wanted to explore the world beyond the Czech Republic, I have called Switzerland, France, Australia, and Canada home, amazing places to go if you have the opportunity! For the past 6 years I have been in the US and currently call Northern California and the Sierra Nevada Foothills home. The wonderfully diverse landscape and climate make it the perfect playground for landscape photography, mountain biking, snowboarding, and telemark skiing, just a few of my favorite things to do when I’m not busy creating one of a kind web site for clients.  Aside from the Sierra Nevada Mountains a few of my favorite places to visit are the vast deserts of Nevada, the beautiful Red Rocks of Utah and the evergreen forests of the Pacific Northwest. In 2023 I plan to continue my love of travel and exploration in the high mountains and hot deserts of Arizona and New Mexico.

So where did I come up with the name 1Earth Studio? The idea comes from my love for our planet and all its uniquely different natural beauty. I care about our Earth and feel that we all have a responsibility to do our part to preserve and take care of the Earth to insure all its beauty is here for future generations. I consider myself a minimalist and choose to live a natural and simplistic lifestyle, leaving as little carbon footprint as I can. My love for simplicity and minimal design (less is more) is reflected through my work and web design. I love being able to create simple yet elegant, easy to use websites from anywhere in the world for my clients, gaining inspiration from the new places I explore!
